Hope you all don't mind me using your site as a non-member but it's for a good cause! Leannes passing shocked the entire family as you all already said being so young and leaving such a young family. I'm Glen's Aunt and I've been on the cabaret circuit for years. I also do fundraising for cancer charities. This year we are doing our annual May Day fundraiser for the boys and Glen. It's in the Longfellow bar upstairs and it's always been a great day. Im asking for your support, any that can come along! I'm sure I speak for all the country clubs when I say that we were truly shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Leanne. Losing a loved one at any time is never easy but when it is one so young and with such a young family it is particularly devastating. Our hearts go out to Glenn and the boys and Fred and Marion and all the family at this sad time.

Hi, I would like to thank everyone who supported our charity night on Friday 22/02/08. We had a full house and the Hospice benefited by £2600.00. So give yourselves a big round of applause.
Special thanks to all the country clubs that supported us. ie The Colorado, Missourie, The Blues & Greys, The Outlaws, Texas Rangers. Plus all the donations that we were given ie Ballyrobert Cars, Reliable Travel, Andrea's Hairdressers, Courtney & Nelson & several Country Clubs as well. My name is Debbie Walker (I used to do Line Dancing with the Rhinestone Club) Basically I am asking if any Line Dancers would like to attend a Line Dancing Night in Downshire Presbyterian Church, Victoria Road, Carrickfergus on Friday 29 February 2008 at 8.00 pm. Cost: £5.00 per person. The money is going towards fundrasing to help repair and refurbish a blind primary school and also a maternity unit of a hospital in Malawi. (Myself and some other people from the church will be travelling to Malawi in July). Anyone who wishes to attend can pay at the door and would be made most welcome.

Directions for the church;-

Travelling from Belfast - follow signposts along motorway for Carrickfergus. After motorway keep following signposts for Carrickfergus (you will be going straight at all roundabouts etc). When you reach Carrick Castle just keep heading straight on. At 2nd set of traffic lights (just past the PSNI Station and Tamlaght Nursing Home) turn left up Victoria Road. Keep going straight up this road. near to the top. On the left hand side will be a cemetery and just past this on right hand side is entrance to the church.
